FullTilt UB AP And Pokerstars Domains Seized By FBIRakebackSafe.com News April 16 - 2011
The domain names of the three largest US-facing sites: Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker / UB have been seized by the FBI on the 15th of April 2011. The websites now show a FBI logo and warnings about gambling online.
Hmm, somehow USA owns the internet and can overtake .com sites they don´t like, and apparently think they can decide that the rest of the world can´t have acces to these sites either (not just players from USA) !
PokerStars followed the move by announcing that they have immediately ceased accepting real money play from US residents. Full Tilt Poker has also announced their intent to leave the US market. Absolute Poker and UB have not yet said anything about their intention to leave the US market at this time.
As a result the affected sites have been removed from RakebackSafe.com, until we know more about the situation. RakebackSafe.com still have sites listed that accept US players, and actually players outside USA should find another site to play on too.
US players wishing to withdraw from these sites will likely not be able to do so in the near future, but if you can, you should make a cashout. It is unclear how non US players will be affected at these sites, but we do think that all deals still will be honored although we have not gotten a real answer to this yet. But since FBI have frozen more than $7 billion from these rooms and issued arrest orders on the top folks from these sites for money laundring allegations and much more. We do recommend to cashout all funds since they will most likely be short of money.
